Frances Black Bradley
Savannah- Frances Black Bradley, 92, died Tuesday, December 26 under the care of Hospice Savannah. She was the daughter of Frank Oscar and Lillian Hill Black of Columbia, SC. She was born in Bainbridge, GA and resided in Columbia before moving to Savannah in 1950. Mrs. Bradley was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jordan Bradley, her brother, Frank O. Black, Jr., and two sons, Renwick Francis Bradley and John Lyon Bradley.
Survivors include two sisters, Lucy Black Whitehurst and Susan Black Crewz, a daughter, Marsha Bradley Brannen Perry of Savannah, a son, Dr. Thomas J. Bradley Connie of Florence, SC; five grandchildren Perry Brannen, III, Thomas B. Bradley, Nina C. Bradley, Thomas J. Bradley, III and Christina E. Bradley; two daughters-in-law, Bryant A. Bradley and Jan A. Bradley; and four great grand children.
Mrs. Bradley was an avid gardener who was a skilled flower arranger to the delight of her family and friends. She was active in the Garden Club of Savannah and the First Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Oglethorpe Club and the Savannah Yacht Club.
Visitation will be at Fox and Weeks, Hodgson Chapel, from 5:30 until 7:30 on Thursday, December 28. The funeral will be at the First Presbyterian Church, Friday, December 29, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
